Delivery |
The best approach, used by most schools, is to deliver the ICT skills using the framework of a practice SPB (Summative Project Brief) |
Practice Microsite |
The downloadable zip file is modeled on the first of EDEXCEL's SPB's. It is quite ugly as the first ones were. I will improve this soon. |
Implementing DiDA |
This is a presentation that will explain what the qualification is about. It is useful to show to Senior Management and parents. |
Timing |
This is a tricky subject in DiDA, The SPB should take a minimum of 30 hours. Schools are taking up to 45 hours for it. Check the EDEXCEL website for guidance on the amount of support you should offer. Very little. |
|
Timing II |
| If you want to do 'Using ICT' at level 2 it will take about 90 hours. At one lesson a week that means you start in year 9. Not as mad as it sounds. |
KS4 Compulsory ICT |
| All students in years 10 and 11 should follow a qualification in ICT. The best route using DiDA (AiDA) is most probably to do the level 1 at one lesson a week. The best students will get a C equivalent and almost all the others will get a result. On level 2 quite a few wuld get a Fail. |
